Henry Nelson
What's up! My name is Henry Nelson. This is my second year racing professionally and my sixth year of racing bikes. I played every sport my school offered, but eventually focused on cycling while dealing with some chronic health issues because it was a little easier on the body.
I transferred to Fort Lewis College after spending my freshman year at the University of Arkansas. Fort Lewis was the perfect way to race and have fun cycling, as Durango and Fort Lewis have a storied and rich cycling community.
I was living and working in Spain in 2024 when I decided to take the Grand Prix style racing seriously. I began working with a coach in March, and my first Lifetime race was the Leadville 100, where I placed 20th, and later in the year, I landed 9th at the Rad Dirt Fest. That year affirmed that I wanted to be the best I could be at cycling, and it's been full gas ever since.
This year, I'll be competing with Lunchbox Racing, home of your favorite gravel dads. In my spare time, I work at a bike shop, read books (occasionally), and spend time with my friends exploring Durango. Maybe picking up the guitar soon? Some of my favorite GOODLIFE products are the Rainbow Candy Electrolytes, the Lemon Lime Amino Acids, and the Cappuccino Recovery Mix.
